We just finished another great day of sessions at BSPI (Bridal Show Producers International) at the Rio in Las Vegas. This is a terrific gathering of Bridal Show professionals, not just from the US, but also from Canada, New Zealand and more. Debra Hansen (above) is the host of this year's event and she did a fantastic job. We had a wonderful BBQ dinner at her house last night topped off by an impromptu karaoke style sing-along at her piano. Debra's husband, John and son Ty joined me, Will Hegarty and others.
It's great for me to catch up with old friends like Bill Heaton (above) and Tommy Vaughn (below with Laura McCallion from The Knot).
Don Freedman (above) moderated a panel discussion (below) with a group of wedding professionals from the Las Vegas area. The panel was asked about their thoughts on bridal shows and how the experience can be enhanced for both the brides and vendors.
The conference was very well attended, which is a testament to the mission of BSPI to promote the professionalism of their industry. The Knot is very proud to have been invited, once again, to participate. We look forward to coming back next year.
